Further Excavations

Deeper and deeper We go where we'll stop only our walet knows
This is the orig. warning placard
Orig. flooring/ drawer lining
tag in the Fridge
Bottom of Fridge, not looking to good
Guessing that the fiberglass insulation means someone else has been in here since 47

Orig. KIT tag, anyone know what it's supposed to look like?
VIN plate
Anyone know if this was orig. equip?
the lone orig.?? lamp shade
Pretty sure this was added later, but it makes the dinette bed a bunk bed

There were 6,, or 8 of these under the bed, hole in this end
Bracket and wedge piece on the other not great shot but thats it laying on the rail, and a side shot below
Anyone know what they're for?

the further in I get the more I want to change, things like the original flooring have to come up and will probably replace it with Pergo or something, not very original,,, which irks me, but then I'm not crazy about asbestos based anything,,,, and AC is going in, but then theres the origional roof vent which still opens easily, but is small and me all wanting a Fantastic fan, at least I'm not putting the AC up there. The more I dig, the more i find to repair, the more I have to repair/replace the less I worry about keeping it original, though I still plan for it to have that vintage look there are just things that will have to be changed

Work!

Sean and Fred decided to start working on the trailer today! Starting with the window on the back. Here are some pictures!

It got dark so we started cleaning up some. Sean and I decided to pull out the seats.

We had to take out the table to take out the other seat!

Thats it for now. Also this was on the side of the sink, I hadnt seen it till today! It says "Inches of Water"

Another Adventure!

Sean came home with the trailer shortly after I got home from school.

And once we got it in the back, we had to get in the trailer for the jack wheel. Thats when the fun began! Turned out the door had locked from the bumpy ride home and the old way to unlock was from the inside. There was only ONE way in....the back window!!!!

So there I went.....(warning: the pictures are graphic....lol (not really))

Yay!!!!!!!!! I made it!!!!! hahaha! it was way fun!
Now our love is home!

We got it!

We began the morning trip out to Hempstead to pick up our little trailer around 8:15am, we made a few stops and went to Joels house to use his truck and trailer. Sean wasnt sure about the tires being good, so he hoped to put the trailer on the trialer. =D
We made one last stop before we headed out to get our new trailer. Around 10:30am we arrived to the storage place were she was. We did some last inspections before the guy showed up.

The entry to our new trailer! =D :

Our booth is next to out fancy kitchen.

I love the old hand pump faucet.

This were our bed small bed will go. (some work needs to be done)

This is the cute closet.

And the drawer below the closet, but i love the cabiet belowas you can see. =D

The man arrived soon after and it was oficialy ours. We decided that the travel trailer was just a bit too big to fit on his flat bed trailer. We went out to buy a different size ball and after we did, it turned out that his brother had that size on already. haha!
So we hooked it up to at least get it to his brothers house. while leaving his flatbed behind for another trip.

The door doesnt close well due to the old lock, so we decided to us some bungee cord.

But not too far after we left the storage place the door began to open a little more than we expected, so we changed plans.

We have to buy new tires for the long trip home, but we havent had much luck so far. So for now the trailer is still out at his brothers on jacks.

There is alot more work to be done, but we are still excited. =)
